Inspired by the vision of Master Richard Tan, Adestiny brings the ancient wisdom of BaZi into the modern world with automated reports and insightful tools.
The idea behind Adestiny didn’t begin with me — it began with the vision of the late Master Richard Tan.
Richard Tan was not only a qualified Chartered Accountant, but also a deeply analytical thinker with a lifelong passion for BaZi, the Chinese art of destiny analysis based on the Four Pillars. Over decades, he studied, practiced, and refined his understanding of BaZi — applying both traditional wisdom and logical precision to make sense of this intricate system.
Richard's vision was clear:
To fully automate the process of analyzing a person's destiny, without compromising the depth or integrity of the art.
He believed that BaZi, while complex, could be broken down into structured logic — something a computer could process. And with the right design, this could be turned into a tool that offers clarity and insight to anyone, anywhere in the world.
With Richard’s guidance, I was able to code the full process — from a person’s birth particulars (date, time, and location) to a complete BaZi report, generated as a PDF document. Every layer of analysis — from the Four Pillars to the Ten Gods, Luck Pillars, Element Balances, and beyond — was mapped into logical steps, formulas, and rules.
It was a true collaboration between tradition and technology:
Richard brought the knowledge, and I brought the code.
Together, we set out to build Adestiny — a website that would offer automated BaZi life profiling with accuracy, consistency, and deep respect for Chinese metaphysics.
Today, Adestiny provides:
If you're someone who:
Then Adestiny is for you.
This site stands as a tribute to Master Richard Tan — whose clear thinking, lifelong dedication, and unwavering belief in the power of BaZi continue to guide this project.
It is my honor to carry on his vision.
